Paul Baran – the Godfather

A piece of history…

Remember the Guy. If Paul has not developed the concept of distributed packet switching network well most of us would still deal with the old PSTN switches.

Baran’s concepts were applied in ARPA network which become the modern Internet. His research had tremendous impact on Network Architecture. Through the introduction of the packet switching he improved key network qualities such as reliability, performance and simplicity.

Thanks Paul !!!
