Telecom Management networks (OSS/BSS)

Guys and Gals,

Next semester in NBU (Spring 2011) I will teach Telecom Management Networks (TCMM-311). The course covers the following aspects:

  • OSS (Operation support systems)/BSS (Business Support Systems) integration models like eTOM
  • Network Management Protocols like SNMP, CMIP

Then the course will go to its second and a bit more practical phase. In it we will try to install and configure some Open Source tools for network Management (Monitoring) including:

If there is enough time also:

I will try also to organize one or two external visits in OSS/BSS Vendors, System Integrators or Network Operators so we will be able to see also how that stuff really works ….

Please find here the full course agenda.

PS: If you are a OSS/BSS Vendor, System Integrator or Network Operator and have interest to show your products related to the course please give me a hint at nmilovanov{AT}

Share and Enjoy :)
